Some may say I am carzy. Others may say I am cruisin for a bruisin. Others are watching to see if I survive. I have a sense of excitement with no trepedation. Why sit at home when we can explore God's beautiful country? Just like a well trained athlete, I have been preparing for a month for this big, dare I say HUGE adventure. I have armed myself with maps, juice boxes and snacks to feed a small school, about 100 DVD's, travel games, neck pillows made out of cute little animals and lots of memory in the camera.
Part of this adventure is seeing how cheap we can do this trip. So I have been cutting coupons for our supplies. I have booked hotels with travel agent rates. I am staying at nice hotels like Marriott and Crowne Plaza all for no more than $86 a night. We will be staying at hotels and friends houses. I have gone online and printed restaurant coupons for buy one get one free meals in each city. I have packed lots of peanut butter and jelly and bread. ( I plan on picnicing at rest areas). So far my hotel stays for the 20 days total $800. I sold some items at home on Craigslist which will help pay for some of the trip.

Well I haven't been brave enough to do it in a car, well at least no further than I can drive in a day and then staying put for a long while, but I have done it around the world on planes and well, Claire and I love to travel!! So, yeah, why sit at home?!?!
